Phantom Pain
IFM GRADUATE COLLECTIONThe collection Phantom Pain embarks on a transformative journey spanning from the confines of 1900s mental institutions to the modern society. Through its narrative line-up, viewers are guided through the harrowing process of institutional admission and patients’ delusory escape from reality.
The title itself, ‘Phantom Pain’, poignantly cpatures the designer’s lament for the loss of individual identity and imagination in the modern system. She expressed this ‘delusional’ pain through this collection which she had also suffered from, and also suffering now.
